JAG KY Students Receive Lawrence Caruso Foundation Leadership Award
The Lawrence Caruso Foundation Leadership Award was established by the JAG KY Board of Directors and long-serving Chairman Larry Caruso to recognize the extraordinary leadership and service of JAG students from across the state. JAG students who demonstrated extraordinary leadership, commitment and dedication to Jobs for America’s Graduates in Kentucky were selected to receive a $1,500 scholarship and recognized as a 2019 Lawrence Caruso Foundation Scholar.
The 2019 Lawrence Caruso Foundation Leadership Award recipients receiving a $1,500 scholarship are:

Daikerra Sweat, Frederick Douglass High School
Elijah Durham-Walker, Clay County Area Technology Center
Mckenzie Preston, Sheldon Clark High School
Quion Lee, Doss High School

Applications to the Lawrence Caruso Foundation JAGKY Scholarship program consisted of the following documents: Application, Resume, Eassy, High School Transcript, Proof of College Application or Acceptance and Three Reference Letters. 2019 Caruso Scholars received a letter of congratulations from JAG KY Committee Chairman Larry Caruso and JAG KY President Lisa Handziak with information regarding receipt of their $1,500 scholarship.

JAG KY State President Lisa Handziak and Director Of Education Dr. Jason Miner, along with JAG SCHS Specialist Marcie Hanson, presented the Lawrence Caruso Foundation Scholarship to Autumn Mills and Mckenzie Preston at the annual scholarship banquet.
