Clay County Student Asked to Speak at NSLA

JAG Kentucky traces its inception back to 1993. Since the program’s launch, JAG students from across the Commonwealth have made the annual trek to Washington, DC in order to participate in JAG’s National Student Leadership Academy. JAG Nationals recently notified Elijah Durham, a senior at Clay ATC, of his selection to speak at the 2018-2019 leadership awards luncheon at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. This distinct honor speaks volumes about the growth of JAG Kentucky, and the program’s ability to empower students. Elijah’s achievement also marks the first time a student representative from Kentucky will share their personal story of inspiration and growth with the audience. Elijah overcame numerous hardships and obstacles to accomplish this prestigious level of recognition, and looks forward to telling his JAG story.
